Drawing Manager Upgrade

Major Contract Win

GMAC are delighted to announce today that they have won the contract to provide key resources to the Wood Group PSN Global ERP project. GMAC personel will join the multi year project and be responsible for gathering and managing the project controls (estimating/planning/costing) requirements for the global implementation of Oracle R12 and associated tools.

The first phase will end in May with a presentation to the board, this will be followed by a detailed design phase and pilot implementation before rollout to the entire WGPSN organisation throughout the world.

More Merlin Magic

GMAC Consulting today provided a quotation to continue the development of the Merlin Estimating tool currently used with the legacy Wood Group Engineering (North Sea) business. This work will see the three current version merged into one codebase to help streamline further improvements to the tool. It will also open up the tool to be used within some of the other contracts within the organistion.

GMAC Consulting is delighted to announce the launch of the Pig Management System which has been designed and built for local Aberdeen company Pipelines2Data.

The Pig Management System is a secure web based application tht allows the full management of multiple pigging programmes across Pipelines2Data many client and their pipelines. All pig runs are tracked and graphs are produced of the debris removed, together with the condition of the pig after wach run and the maintenance that the pig requires in order to be ready for it's next launch.

Today GMAC Consulting released the first release of the Asset Vulnerability reporting application to Wood Group Engineering (North Sea). This ended a development that started in the last quarter of 2009 when the requirements were gathered and an application design document was produced.

This tool has a bright future ahead and further enhancements are already in the early stages of planning.

GMAC is delighted to annouce that it has entered in a formal support contract with the Business Systems group to support and maintain a number of systems. These systems in the main have been built for WGENS by GMAC over the last 2 years although the agreement also covers systems that have been built by other parties. To date support of these systems have been on a more "ad-hoc" basis but this new agreement with help formalise the procedure and lead to better turnaround on any support calls that are raised.

Additional Business Objects Resources Needed

GMAC have been asked to provide additional Business Objects resources to create the reporting universes and reports required for the new TAQA contract that WGENS have recently won. GMAC will be taksed with building a universe against the newly installed Maximo 6 application used on the TAQA contract and then buildig a suite of reports on the key measures needed to help plan and support the offshore assets.

GMAC have been providing Business Objects resources since June of this year.

GMAC To Provide Key Resource for the Data Integrity Department

GMAC have been asked by Stephen McNeil, the Head of Project Controls at Wood Group Engineering (North Sea) to provide consultancy services to a new department calle Data Integrity. After analysing their business WGENS believe there could be savings in the millions of pounds to be had by tightening up the integrity of their data and how is it transferred and used by all of their systems.

After being involved with a lot of the key systems both during and after the PCTU project GMAC are ideally placed to provide in depth expertise on where the data should come from and how the systems can be interfaced to stop double entry and manual manipulation of the data held in these systems.

Talisman Contract Wants Close Out System

After the successful development of a close out tracking system for Wood Group Engineering's BP contract GMAC have today been awarded the development for a similar kind of system for the WGENS Talisman contract.

This award follows on from a specification gathering workshop with the Talisman's close out team of Paul Whitwell, Dave Relf and Dave McKay. This workshop allowed GMAC to produce a detailed functional specification and design document which was signed off today to allow the development to begin.

The application is scheduled for delivery to Paul and his team in December of this year.

GMAC to Build Applications for the TAQA Contract

Wood Group Engineering (North Sea) have awarded the design and development of two applications needed for the commencement of the TAQA contract that was recently awarded to Wood Group.

The first is an offshore portal that will be used by all workers on the four platforms and allow them access to the tools and applications that they will need every day to do their job.

The second application is to help monitor the status of work that needs to be done to safety critical pieces of equipment on the four platforms. This application will need to interface with the Maximo installation that Wood Group are currently managing.

Primary School Footballers Hit the Goal Trail

The GMAC Consulting sponsored Charleston primary school football team had their second big game today against Fisher Moss school in Portlethan. The boys once again looked very smart in their kit and hit the goal trail bigtime with goals being scored from all positions in the team.

There was a special moment to remember for our directors when their son was the quickest to pounce after a defensive mixup and calmly slotted the ball home into the left corner away from the keeper.

GMAC Continues It's Relationship with Young Light Technologies

After a very successful prototype the contract between GMAC Consulting and Young Light Technologies has been extended.

The project has now moved from prototype to release 1.0 build and should be completed Q2 2005.

Consultants from GMAC Consulting will provide a lead technical role and be responsible for the backend databases and data access layer. Our consultants will also develop the external interfaces to legacy systems as well as web and remoting services to expose the new information.

Primary School Football of to a Flier

The GMAC Consulting sponsored primary 2 football team from Charleston School in Cove played their first match today. All the boys looked very smart in their new strips purchased by GMAC Consulting and despite the terrible weather did very well in their matches against Broomhill. All the boys are looking forward to their next match.

GMAC Consulting has agreed to sponsor the Charleston Primary 2 football team. GMAC will purchase and sponsor the kit for the 18 boys who have been attending football training since primary one. The football team will have their first match later this month against Broomhill.

GMAC Signs Deal with Young Light Technologies

GMAC consulting today signed a deal with Young Light Technologies to help them build a brand new effeciency improvement toolset for one of the largest oil exploration and production companies in the world.

The project will be built in the Microsoft .NET with the code written in C#.

It is a joint venture between Young Light Technologies and IBM.

A phased approach will be used with the first deliverable of a proof of concept prototype being handed over to the client at the end of May.

GMAC Consulting have become a reseller for TuCows OpenSRS service.

We are now able to offer Domain Name Registration for some of the most well known Top Level Domain names including .com, .net, .org and .co.uk

As part of the reseller agreement we are also able to sell the full suite of SSL certificates available from leading certification authority GeoTrust.

GMAC wins Quickplace Migration Contract

GMAC Consulting have won the contract to migrate the Lotus Quickplace service built for GeoQuest in 2001 to a new hosting centre.

The contract is for the complete rebuild of the server and migration of all the existing Quickplaces and data across to the new platform.
